Rockin' Responsibilities

One thing that I have always pressed the "dislike" button on in my classroom is classroom jobs. I always and I mean ALWAYS forget to assign new jobs! I just couldn't keep up with the week to week helpers! As I was blog stalking this summer, I stumbled across One Extra Degree's Classroom Jobs and let me just tell you it was/is/will be a true life saver!  I can not wait to implement this new job system into my classroom this year. Rockin' Responsibilities will allow the students to apply for a new job at the beginning of each nine week period. They have to complete a "job application" and once assigned a job will continue with their duties until the next nine week period rolls around. I mean come on...can somebody press the "easy" button PLEASE!  So, I modified the original version a bit to create something that will work for me and my students. I also connected it to my new theme "Rock and Roll" (can you tell I am a little excited about this theme?).  Check out the download for Rocking Responsibilities HERE. It includes job descriptions, application form, and classroom job labels. I plan to take pictures of my students and glue them to clothespins to attach to the labels. Happy Monday...is it really Monday already?!?

  1. I have to say switching over jobs is not my strong point. I tend to leave the jobs the same for a lot longer than the kids want. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I put you on my Sqworl list. Your blog is adorable and I'm so glad to have found you!

  5. I love this...but how do you print it? When I click on 'print preview' it shows that part of it is cut off...

  6. Do you mind posting an editable "Rocking Responsibilities" doc? I would like to make some adjustments (add-subtract jobs we have in our class). Thank you so much. You are so very creative :)

  7. I would also love to be able to edit this document to add a few extra jobs. This fits perfectly into my theme and is so much cuter than anything I have made! Is there anywhere we could purchase an editable version? Thank you so much for creating and sharing this with us!
